AGM Battery Monitoring and Management System

Overview
Battery monitoring system generally is made up with the sub-station(the station end equipment) and the main station(user terminal). Sub-station usually includes one or more DCM(Data Collection Module), lm(Load Module), CLM(Control Module) and CTM(Current Transform Module), CT(Current Transformer) and TS(Temperature sensors). On some occasions, It also includes a MM(Monitoring Module) and CAPM(Capacity Module). The MM is mainly used for displaying data and the CAPM is for discharging battery strings. Master station includes a server and software, provides data viewing and remote control.
 
Purpose
The BMS solution reflects "base stations, control, operation and maintenance" design idea, and based on the information integration, perfect, fluent and sharing as the core to realize comprehensive maintenance battery intelligence, and information and automation.
 
Implement Methods
A complete battery online monitoring system includes control module, collection module, load module, capacity module, communication module, monitoring module and server. It works by unit operation or net working operation.

Networking method
solution A: Unit operation
Collection module and load module collect the cell voltage and internal resistance and upload the data to control module, the control module upload the data to monitoring module or PC after it has finished the processing data. The control module can control the load module to check discharge the battery strings, the discharge will be stop and record the capacity when the batteries match the follows condition: 1. Cell voltage lower limit; 2. String voltage lower limit; 3. Capacity lower limit; 4. Discharging time.
Advantage: realize easily, lower cost, convenience of maintenance.
 
solution B: LAN networking
Collection module and load module collect the cell voltage and internal resistance and upload the data to control module, the control module process the data into TCP pack and upload to the server. The server stores the data in database after it analyzes the data, then the user can view the data by IE browser.
Advantage: strong functions, it can manage different place battery string.
